Wedding Trend 2012! The Bolero Jacket

      I am so in love with this trend.   I love this little jacket that can be used for so much. It's a great way to change your look from the ceremony to the receptions, or to add color to your look. It also really comes in handy when you need to cover up for a church ceremony. I can go on and on about how many ways this item is a great idea, but I won't. I think you get the picture.  I have included some of my favorites that I have came across lately. As always when choosing one for your look make sure it blends with your over all theme you are trying to achieve for the day. Make sure the bolero does not over shadow the dress, as it it the most important thing you will wear in your life!

     The escort card is one of the most important part of the reception, I think. The escort card has really came a long way. It does not only lead your guest to their seat, it also plays very vital parts in the design of the event as well.  It is the first thing guest see when they enter the reception, so it sets the stage for what is too come. Pretty much like save the dates and invitations set the stage for your entire wedding.  I have included some of my favorite looks and ideas. Escort cards can be dramatic, simple, and something sweet. Relax! Wedding Reception Lounge Area.

 

      Lounge areas are such a great addition to any event. They are usually set up in the wedding’s reception area. The lounge area brings another element to the design of your wedding.  It's a good way for guest to relax from dancing. It's also a conversation area. At many weddings it's a family reunion, families come from all over for the big day, they will take some time to catch up with each other. It's also a union not only between the couple, but the families too. 

      The best way to set up a lounge area is to make sure you have ample seating and tables according to your guest list. You can rent furniture at a rental company from your area. A money saving idea would be to keep an eye out at local second hand shops and yard sales for pieces you can recover or repurpose for your lounge area.  I have included a couple different ideas for you below.

      I love this style, it's for the sexy bride, it can be fun, funky, and cool, all at the same time. To me. it blends traditional with style. I really adore the dresses that come with a detachable train. A bride can have two dresses in one. We are not only seeing this style with weddings. Ready to wear offers this style in array of designs. One thing I know for sure is you have to have a great pair of shoes! Here are some of my favorites.

A Wedding Planner, and a Mechanic!

      I wear many hats! One of my brides and I were on vendor appointments, when all of a sudden we heard the sound of air seeping from the car. I told her to pull over. To my surprise, one of her tires was losing air. Oh no! We have a flat. We had no spare tire, and no time to wait on a tow truck. We had cake waiting for us! But, luckily it was a Dollar General in sight. A block in the pouring rain, and a can of Fix a Flat later, we were on the move. Eating cake and signing the contract on-time, that's what I do, I come through!
