Real Wedding! Lennetta and Gentry

About Lennetta

Hello, my name is Lennetta and I'm a mild tempered go with the flow kind of person. I'm the mother of one - Destiny Dunlap (10). I was raised in Chicago IL and currently reside in Racine WI. I've live here a little over 6 years. I am a fraud banker and worked for my job the same amount of time. In my spare time I like to shop, try new restaurants, watch movies and just spend quality time with my family. William and I have been together 4 years. I have to say that he is the total opposite of me, but we definitely compliment each other. Where I'm weak he is strong and vice versa. Who wants someone just like them - not me - that's boring. He keeps things interesting - our relationship is definitely interesting and I can't wait to share my future with him.

About William

Hi, I'm William, but everyone calls me Gentry. I'm not laid back at all. I'm a go getter and I say exactly what is on my mind. I was born and raised in Racine WI. I currently work as a machine operator at Andis and I've been with the company 3 years. During my free time I like to chill - hang out with the guys, watch a good game, play cards and play pool. Lennetta and I have been together 4 years. I love how we get along with each other. She accepts me for me. I don't have to be someone else. She loves me regardless of my flaws and I do the same for her. I can't wait to make her my wife.

How we met

How we met wasn't romantic at all. We met at the local laundry mat. I was wondering why this man kept staring at me. I just wanted to get in & out and wasnt looking for a love connection. So, I ignored him and his advances. Until, I was sitting down watching TV waiting for my clothes to dry and a scary movie was on. So, I covered my eyes during the scary part without realizing I was being watched by him. He made a sarcastic remark that struck up a conversation. I liked his conversation and approach so I gave him my number and here we are. The rest is history as they say. ( by Lennetta)

How we met wasn't romantic. But, I saw potential in her. I was watching her - how she moved and carried herself caught my eye. She was acting like she wasn't interested but, I knew I could win her over somehow. lol. She was watching the scary movie on TV and I knew that was my opportunity. I made a comment that started a conversation and we took it from there. The rest is history as they say. (by Gentry)

How we got engaged

We planned to celebrate our 4-year anniversary by having a nice dinner at the Pfister Hotel downtown Milwaukee and a romantic carriage ride. I thought he would ask me to marry him that night - I thought it would be on the carriage ride actually. He really surprised me by arranging a special table with the best view of the city, upstairs on the 23rd floor at the BLU bar. This was a complete surprise because Gentry is afraid of heights. I wanted to see the views the bar had to offer very badly, but I knew it probably wasn't going to happen because he absolutely refused to go to the 23rd floor when we were making plans. This made it more special because he knows I love views of the lake. The BLU bar has the most amazing views of the Milwaukee skyline and Lake Michigan. So there we were enjoying the view and about order drinks when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was totally shocked because I was so focused on the time so we wouldn’t miss the carriage ride that I didn’t even see it coming. I really appreciated that he put his fear aside to make sure I was happy.
